Not everyone wants highly visible breast implants reminiscent of Pamela Anderson Baywatch days, in fact, the recent trends in breast implant surgery have been to remain as natural as possible while enhancing the shape and fullness of the bust. Our patient’s motivations were to repair and restore her breasts after having children, “I wanted to be natural looking like they were always there.”
She said, “It wasn’t really about having the big breasts and getting them out there, it was more about confidence, and I had quite a lot of volume loss after I had two children … For me, it was more about getting the shape back and feeling almost young again really.”
How noticeable the breast implants will be will depend on the shape, positioning, and size of your breast implants as well as the clothing you wear. If you, like our past patient, are simply restoring the size and shape you had in your younger years it is quite possible people will not notice.
“A year ago, maybe 18 months ago, I was starting to get into a training regime which is fitness and what not. Since then I have dropped some weight, but I’ve kept the shape up here. So people have noticed that I’ve kept the shape up here. But they’ve also said that I look very natural.”
However, she shared that her mum still doesn’t know! “It’s pretty awesome actually because mum’s a little bit old school, so I was a little bit worried about her knowing so I just thought – why does she have to know?”, she said.
Overall, our patient is happy with her results, “it is a good feeling to know that I do look natural, and that’s the result I wanted – I definitely wanted that.”
