As a part of our patient interview series, we discuss the entire breast augmentation process with a former patient to give you the unique insight of the patient experience. If you have missed our previous blog posts, you can click here to read blog post one.
Many women are fearful of losing sensation in their breasts post-surgery. With any surgery, it is expected that there will be numbness and reduced sensation to the area for some weeks after the surgery is complete.
Our patient was no different, “I wasn’t quite sure what I was in for.” However, she said that educating herself was the best thing she could do to relive any fear, “you guys give us so much information to read … so after I read through all that the stuff that you gave us that put me at ease.”
Every patient is different. The type of breast implant, the size relative to your own natural breast and the position of the implant will all play a factor in the post-operative sensation. Dr Ralph Bright and the team at sculpt cosmetica are highly skilled and have extensive experience in cosmetic procedures. Patient care is a high priority throughout the entire treatment process.
Our patient didn’t have any significant numbness post-surgery, “I haven’t had anything significant, everything’s normal, there is a little bit of numbness where the scar area is but that’s fine I’m not worried about that because it’s underneath and I really don’t feel it that much.”
