Over the coming four blogs we are going to discuss three of the most common female breast enhancement surgeries available and an alternative you may not have thought about.
Each month over 3200 Sydney based searches are conducted on google for breast enhancement surgery. This includes searches like Breast Augmentation Sydney, Breast Reduction Sydney, Sydney Breast Lift Surgeon and more. Unfortunately, many women find the information available can be confusing, or doesn’t answer their questions.
In this series we are going to provide simple explanations of each treatment and provide answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.
The following treatments will be discussed:
The female breast has been seen as an icon for sexuality and femininity for thousands of years.
With the prominence of celebrity came a new age of breast adoration and an increase in those striving for the ‘ideal body’.
Perceived differently by almost every person, breasts, for many women can be an area of pride, or, unfortunately for some unhappiness.
Over the past 20 years, breast surgeries have evolved in line with new technologies and the experience level of doctors. With this evolution of breast treatments modern doctors are able to provide breast augmentations, reductions and lifts with precise results.
For all of the treatments we will discuss, the question of whether you should or shouldn’t have surgery is one that you need to ultimately decide yourself. All medical professionals can provide information on the treatments available, educate you on your options and provide examples of the predicted outcome; however, they cannot make the decision for you.
When considering any breast surgery, or any elective surgery for that matter, it is important you carefully consider your motivations for the treatment. Surgery, when undergone for the wrong reasons, will not rectify confidence or emotional issues.
We recommend you think through the following questions when considering breast surgery:
While many women have an idea in mind of what treatment they would like to undergo, be it an augmentation with 350cc implants or a reduction and lift with and ‘anchor’ incision, there will always be the doctor’s professional opinion that may change this plan.
What you assume is best may not actually be the case, for some patients the combination of a breast lift and implants may provide the best result, for others a breast lift alone is all that is needed. Even in cases where patients are simply looking for breast implants, a breast lift may also be needed to correct a breast or nipple that sits lower that the other.
At the end of the day, when you arrange discussions with your doctor it is important to consider both your desires and their recommendations for the best results. It may be a more advanced treatment than expected, however it is likely to provide a better result.
